Passion Fruit Mai Tai
Ingredients
- 5-6 fresh mint leaves
- 3 oz passion fruit juice
- 1 oz light rum
- 1 oz dark rum
- 0.5 oz lime juice
- 0.5 oz triple sec
- 0.25 oz simple syrup
- extra mint for garnish
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker add your mint leaves, ice, and all the ingredients except the dark rum.
- Shake very well to combine.
- Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Pour the dark rum slowly over the back of a spoon, into the drink, so it stays mostly on the top.
- Garnish with half a passion fruit and fresh mint, if desired, and serve.
Notes
If you like the flavor you might swap the simple syrup for orgeat in this, to give it a more authentic Mai Tai feel.
