Mexican Hot Chocolate Shots

Indulge in a Shot of Rich, Spiced Delight

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Milk
  • 2 ounces Heavy Cream
  • 1.5 oz Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 oz Sugar
  • a dash of Cinnamon
  • a dash of Ground Cayenne Pepper
  • 5 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 5 oz Chocolate Liqueur
  • For garnish: mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan add milk, heavy cream. cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, and cayenne. Bring to a near-boiling then turn off the heat so the cream won't burn. Whisk until combined.
  2. Let the hot chocolate cool off for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add vodka and chocolate liqueur to the mix, and stir to combine.
  4. Pour into shot glasses, and garnish with mini marshmallows.

Notes

This can also be served as a spiked hot chocolate (so like two servings), in which case cut the alcohol to half.
