Sail Away with a Swashbuckling Sip

Ingredients

  • 1 oz black rum
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 1.5 oz coconut rum
  • 1.5 oz banana schnapps
  • 1.5 oz triple sec
  • 3 oz orange juice
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • (optional) granulated sugar and activated charcoal for the rim

Instructions

  1. In a large cocktail glass add a handful of ice.
  2. In a shaker add ice, rums, banana schnapps, triple sec, and fruit juices. Shake very well.
  3. Strain into prepared cocktail glass.

Notes

For the black rim: on a small plate mix granulated sugar with activated charcoal, rum the rim of the glass with an orange wedge, and dip it in the sugar mix. The rim is there as a nod to gunpowder, but it does not change the overall flavor if the drink.
