What is Pomegranate Gin Fizz?
The pomegranate gin fizz is a version of the original that also incorporates some pomegranate juice into the mix. This is a sort of highball, and it’s on the fun, bubbly side of drinks.
As with other pomegranate-infused drinks, your final flavor will depend on the quality and flavor of your pomegranate juice. Fresh pomegranate juice is very sour, and needs some help from simple syrup. Carton juice is sweeter but still sour, but it’s far more palatable in a cocktail. Use whichever you think works best.

Notes
When is this drink best ?
I think pomegranate gin fizz works best as a summer cocktail, since it’s fun, bubbly, and the egg foam is a nice touch. I see this as more of a casual drink, something served at lunch, or a relaxed night out, dinner with friends, and so on. Not somewhere very fancy or at an elegant event. Somewhere fun and chill.
My thoughts on Pomegranate Gin Fizz
I liked the pomegranate gin fizz, it was refreshing, sweet, bubbly (from the club soda) but still smooth (from the egg white). The gin was still noticeable and went well with the lemon juice and pomegranate juice, though I have to say my pomegranate juice was perhaps not the most flavored (I used carton juice).
Overall a very pleasant and fun to drink cocktail. I think plain gin worked well here, but a flavored one would’ve been nice too – something red like raspberries or rhubarb.

Notes, substitutes, and tips
If you want a stronger pomegranate flavor in this, swap the simple syrup for pomegranate syrup, and don’t any pomegranate juice.
