6 best TEQUILA cocktails 2

Looking for that perfect tequila cocktail to get you through the summer ? How about a list of the best 6 tequila cocktails ever, so you can set up a rotation ? I’ve made sure to include some well known drinks, as well as some lesser known ones to spice things up. Here you go.

1. Paloma

If you’re into tequila you have to try Paloma ! It’s Mexico’s most beloved tequila cocktail, and for good reason. It has a beautiful mix of tequila and grapefruit soda (or juice, depending on who you ask) that go so perfectly together you’ll wonder why it’s not more popular. A Paloma is delicious, and normally served as a highball through you can turn it into a lowball if you like. Check out the recipe here.

2. Cinnamon Tequila Sour

A cinnamon tequila sour is surprisingly delicious, and it will 100% remind you of the best apple pie you’ve ever had. There’s something about mixing tequila with lemon and cinnamon that gets  you a very fruity, spiced apple flavor and I’m all for it. Top with that beautiful foam head and you’ve got the prettiest thing on this list. Check out the recipe here.

3. Ranch Water

Ranch water is more of an American version of a tequila cooler, and it’s simple, straightforward, and truly refreshing. A mix of tequila, lime, and club soda will get you a highball that hits the spot. A simple drink, but quite effective. Check out the recipe here.

4. Classic Margarita

A Margarita is a classic tequila cocktail, and there are many fruity riffs on it. However, I think trying the classic is necessary so you understand the nuances of tequila. This cocktail is sweet, sour, and a great way to appreciate tequila. Check out the recipe here.

5. Matador

The Matador has a cool name and is also a great cocktail, since it pairs tequila, pineapple, and lime in  a sexy, bold drink. There is acidity from the lime, there is some sweetness from the pineapple, and the tequila works very well with both. Don’t underestimate this, even if it comes in a dainty little coupe. Check out the recipe here.

6. Raspberry Margarita

Margarita with fruit is nothing new, there are so many versions, just like there are for daiquiri. But here’s one of my favorite fruit mixes for Margarita: the raspberry ! I prefer to use raspberry syrup, but you can easily swap the syrup for raspberry puree (sweetened) and get an even prettier cocktail. Check out the recipe here.

So these were my top 6 tequila cocktails. I hope you’ll enjoy them and I hope they make your summer that much more delicious !
