The strawberry lemon drop works perfectly as a summer party drink, since it’s fruity, sweet, very strong, and definitely a ton of fun ! I could see this served at clubs, pool parties, house parties, or even as the main drink on an evening out with friends.
My thoughts on Strawberry Lemon Drop
I liked the strawberry lemon drop, the interplay between lemon juice, triple sec, and strawberry syrup is a surprisingly good flavor match. The strawberry is still very noticeable, but the lemon juice underscores it and brings it to attention even more. The triple sec adds some sweetness and the delicious notes of orange that brings lemon and strawberry.
Vodka is there to carry the whole drink, but there’s alcohol in the triple sec too. Depending on what you use (Cointreau or other versions) your triple sec can match the strength of the vodka.

Strawberry Lemon Drop Cocktail Recipe
A fun twist on the famous Lemon Drop
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz strawberry syrup
- granulated sugar for the rim
Instructions
- Wet the rim of a Martini glass, dip it in granulated sugar. Set aside.
- In a shaker combine vodka, Cointreau, lemon juice, strawberry syrup, and ice. Shake very well.
- Strain into sugared Martini glass.
Notes
- The recipe calls for simple, plain vodka but you can try using flavored vodka (maybe citrus) to get a more complex flavor.
- The sugar rim is completely optional, but it always looks nice.
