What is Raspberry Martini?
Raspberry Martini is a fruity take on the vodka Martini, but with added cranberry juice and raspberry syrup. It’s a fun, bright, colorful cocktail that is easy to make and can be the basis for any other version of a fruity Martini. In fact it seems to draw a bit of inspiration from the Cosmopolitan in an attempt to be sweet and sour. Here’s how to make a raspberry Martini.

Notes
When is this drink best ?
The raspberry Martini Works great as both a summer and a winter cocktail, and here’s why. The cranberry juice is a strong reminder of the cold season, and it’s definitely something that will work well with Thanksgiving dinner or even Christmas dinner. Then again, the raspberry syrup is a fruity, summery note that can easily convince you it’s early June outside and you should wear something light.
Whichever season you think this works best in, this is a decidedly fun cocktail that’s both sweet and sour so it could easily be a club drink, a dinner drink, or even a brunch drink if you’re feeling fancy.
My thoughts on Raspberry Martini
I liked the raspberry Martini, I found it quite strong despite the only alcohol being 2 oz of vodka. I could definitely feel the burn, even if vodka itself has no real taste. Lemon and raspberry go extraordinarily well together, so that combination is perfect and I think the lemon makes raspberry even brighter than it already was.
The cranberry juice adds extra tartness with only the smallest hint of sweetness, so this could still be classed as a vodka sour (mostly).

Notes, substitutes, and tips
The recipe calls for plain vodka. You can elevate this cocktail by using flavored vodka, especially if you have a citrus one (such as lemon), or one of the key ingredients, like raspberry.
If you feel the overall drink is too sour, cut the cranberry juice in half. You’ll still get a beautiful color with half the amount.
