If you liked the original lemon drop you’ll also love the blueberry lemon drop. Not only is it fruity, it’s also got a beautiful pink-purple color that’s just perfect for the cold season.

What is Blueberry Lemon Drop?
Blueberry Lemon Drop is a twist on the classic Lemon Drop cocktail and shot, but this time you swap the triple sec for blueberry syrup. The result is a beautiful, flavorful drink that pairs lemon and blueberry in a really nice way. Normally this is served as a cocktail though you can turn it into shots just fine.
When is this drink best ?
Blueberry Lemon Drop works really great as a winter drink, I’d say. You can totally have it as a summer cocktail, but I think the blueberry and lemon combination somehow works better in winter.
And since this is such a pretty drink, with a relatively low alcohol content compared to the original Lemon Drop, I’d say the blueberry Lemon Drop works great as a fun club drink, or a dinner drink, or ever one o share with the girls going out.
My thoughts on Blueberry Lemon Drop
I found the blueberry Lemondrup quite sweet, then again so is the original Lemon Drop. But this version doesn’t have as much citrus, since all you get is lemon juice. There is a nice sweet and sour going on, from the lemon and blueberry, with a beautiful blueberry aftertaste.
There is also an alcohol burn at the end; even if you can’t taste the vodka you can still feel it.

Notes, substitutes, and tips
The recipe calls for plain vodka, but you can also try flavored vodka. I think citrus vodka would work best here, and if you want to get it closer to the original Lemon Drop you might use orange vodka to emulate the flavor of the triple sec.
