Raspberry daiquiri is the next best thing to try this summer ! Out of all the versions of a daiquiri, raspberry is one of the fruits I’d never imagined to pair with white rum but I was in for a pleasant surprise.

What is Raspberry Daiquiri ?
Raspberry daiquiri is a version of daiquiri where instead of simple syrup, you add raspberry syrup. It’s still made with rum and lime juice, but you get a fruity flavor in it as well. Some like to make their daiquiris frozen, and use fresh fruit. I used syrup in this for convenience, and I think a middle ground would be to swap the raspberry syrup for a raspberry puree.

Notes
When is this drink best ?
Raspberry daiquiri sounds like a wonderful summer cocktail, due to the interesting mix of rum and raspberries. Aside from that, the bright pink-red color makes it stand out among other drinks, and just makes it look like a fun cocktail.
I could see raspberry daiquiri served on a cruise, on a beach, at a poolside party, or maybe even at a friend gathering in your backyard.
My thoughts on Raspberry Daiquiri
I liked the raspberry daiquiri, I think it’s a really nice addition to the many fruity versions of the classic. The raspberry goes surprisingly well with white rum, perhaps because it’s milder in flavor than dark rum. Lime and raspberry are also a good mix, through I usually prefer lemon. That being said, lime juice is the go-to for daiquiri, not lemon juice.
Overall I think raspberry daiquiri is a nice sweet and sour drink, you can definitely feel the um burn at the end, and it’s both a beautiful and impressive cocktail.

Notes, substitutes, and tips
Raspberry syrup is easier to work with in this cocktail, since it provides plenty of color and flavor. But if you want to make this a frozen daiquiri, you can use frozen raspberries in place of the syrup. You’ll need about 1 oz of frozen raspberries and 1 oz of simple syrup.
Another idea is to swap the syrup for raspberry puree, in the same amount as the syrup.
